💧 Rinse the paper filter first — seat it in the Omni dripper, pop the dripper off the machine, rinse under the tap in cold water, tip the water out, then re-attach and brew. Washes out any papery taste.

Dialed. Uses the xBloom default Auto › Medium preset as the base (15 g, 1:16 / 240 ml, 120 RPM, temps stepping 92 → 90 °C), which nailed this medium natural/anaerobic when fresh. As the bag aged (~4 weeks off roast) it read a bit sour → ground finer 65 → 60 with bloom agitation OFF (turning agitation on briefly overshot to bitter 2026-07-02, so leave it off). At grind 60 it came back sweet/balanced and the bag drank down happily over the following days (finished 2026-07-04). Next Savora bag: start ~63–65 fresh, drift toward 60 as it ages past ~3–4 weeks.

Japanese method (flash brew): put ~85 g ice in the carafe and brew hot water straight onto it — the flash-chill traps the fruit/floral aromatics that slow cooling loses. Keep the hot water low (150 ml = 1:10, a strong concentrated brew); the ice dilutes it back to normal strength. Grind 58 — a touch finer than the hot recipe (65). Less ice (~70 g) = stronger/more intense; more (~100 g) = lighter/colder. This natural Savora drinks like fruit juice over ice. Tested (2026-06-28) and a keeper — bright, juicy and a little sour (flash brew leans acidic by nature); grind finer (58 → 56) if you ever want it rounder.

Each recipe above downloads in the format used by the open-source xbloom-ble CLI (pip install xbloom-ble) — unofficial Bluetooth control for the xBloom Studio, with a terminal UI and a live brew graph. By default xbloom brew loads a recipe onto the machine and you approve it on the device; pass --start to brew remotely instead.
