ROST is a young, mission-driven specialty roaster from Warsaw, founded in late 2021 by the team behind the well-loved STOR café — café owner Krzysiek Rzyman with baristas Bartek Krzymowski (head roaster) and Alex Tęcza.
Its guiding idea, "Coffee That Cares," is sustainability first: fully compostable packaging, deliveries by electric vehicles, a goal of roasting on green energy, green coffee bought only from importers vetted for how they support farmers, and 5% of every bag's sales donated to projects in coffee-growing regions.
ROST started lean — roasting on a shared machine to test the idea — before opening its own combined café-and-roastery on Kobielska in Warsaw's Grochów district in 2025, where you can watch the roasting. On the cup it's small-batch single origins from Central and South America, Africa and Asia, dialed in separately for espresso and for filter.
