Savora Café

Zurich, Switzerland

Savora Café is a young Swiss specialty-coffee company based in Zurich, founded by Carlos and Elena, who fell for coffee during years spent living in Medellín, Colombia. (The Spanish on the bags is product naming — the roaster is Swiss, the coffee Colombian.)

The brand is built on a direct "farm to cup" relationship with small Colombian family farms, dealing only in single-origin lots scoring 85+ on the SCA scale, and donating a share of every sale (stated as $1 per kilogram) to community projects supporting growers.

The house style leans into expressive, experimental processing — medium-roasted naturals and anaerobic "winey" coffees bursting with fruit, plus limited editions like a whisky-noted lot. Each bag is fully traceable (farm, family, variety, process, cup score), and the line carries distinctive Spanish names: Filtrado Aromático and Filtrado Exótico for filter, Espresso/Café Cremoso for machines, and a cascara Coffee Cherry Tea. As their Colombian producer Juan Puerta puts it, the invitation is to "dare to taste something different."
