KLARO¶
Warsaw, Poland
Klaro Coffee is a specialty roastery in Warsaw run single-handedly by Maksym Volkovytskyi, a competition barista who started behind the bar in 2015 and sharpened his craft at some of Poland's most respected roasters before branching into training, consulting and competition work — then launching his own label.
The whole idea sits in the name: "claro" — clear, understandable, obvious. Klaro is built to lower the barrier to specialty coffee, pairing carefully selected lots with simple, clearly printed brewing recipes and an open, no-snobbery approach to any question a newcomer might have. Every coffee passes a two-step quality check so only the best of a lot reaches the cup.
The roastery leans genuinely sustainable, too: carbon-neutral flat-bottom bags, recyclable stickers and water-based inks. The range reaches into show-stopping competition lots — like this Colombia Geisha from La Cabaña in Huila — meant to be brewed a touch cooler to keep the delicate florals intact.
